Dr. Mariam Bourque

Dr. Mariam Bourque has been working in the veterinary field for almost 15 years, having started as a volunteer in spay/neuter clinics. She has been with us over a year now and brings all of her rescue expertise with her. When she isn’t working with us, she’s spending her time with her family and horde of rescue animals at home including 2 dogs, numerous cats and way too many fish tanks.

Dr. Kristy Jackson

Dr. Jackson comes to us with an extensive background in shelter medicine and preventative wellness. When she’s not helping shelter pets, Dr. Jackson sees Wellness Appointments for us on Fridays.

Dr. Sirah Javier

Dr. Sirah Javier received her Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Conservation in 2018. During her studies she traveled to Mexico and Ecuador to assist in managing large scale spay/neuter events and provide key laboratory technician assistance. She also volunteered as a Medical translator for human doctors in the Dominican Republic to provide wellness in low income communities. With a strong passion for shelter/community medicine she pursued and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Midwestern University in May of 2023! She now enjoys her free time attending food festivals and feeding bottle baby kittens.

Sujaida Barraza

Sujaida has been a Vet Technician for 16 years now . She loves helping and taking care of pet’s. She enjoy surgeries and doing dentals the most. She recently started school for Medical coding and Billing. On her time off, she likes to spend time with her husband and boy’s.

Debbie Varner

Meet our founder, Debbie Varner. There is a whole bunch we could write about this woman, but it would be a book!

Debbie dreamt of making changes and changing the lives of many animals and family.
